Photoshop Fun - Fake Album Cover

Posted by Thomas Chapin on Thursday, January 15th, 2009

My co-worker, Kent Downer, was showing me some of his facebook photos and one of them jumped out at me. The second I saw it, I just knew I had to photoshop it for fun. Here’s the before and after result:

Hot Air Balloon Ride

Posted by Thomas Chapin on Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

This past Saturday, I went on a hot air balloon ride! We went over a mile high, and it was awesome!
My business partner, Chris Tingom, came along (he rode in the other balloon) and he took a video of the experience, and a few photos. I took a video as well, but he beat me [...]

Busy being lazy

Posted by Thomas Chapin on Wednesday, September 21st, 2005

My life has been awfully busy lately. So busy, in fact, that I haven’t updated my journal in ages.

But that comes to an end (albeit temporarily), right… now.

So what *have* I been busy doing?

Well, I’ve been playing around in Macromedia Flash 8 in an attempt to learn it.

I’ve also started my very first open source programming project up on Sourceforge!
It’s basically just a program that when you punch in a phone number, will search the white pages and return the person’s name and address information. It doesn’t work with cell phone numbers yet, but maybe some day it will.

Another thing I’ve been doing is reading. Yup. I’ve been getting back into the whole book scene again after years of hardly reading a thing. I meandered around the bookstores, reading everything from philosophy to children’s novels. I finally finished the latest Harry Potter book, as well as the #1 best seller novel this year, “Eragon”. I intend to start on the sequel, “Eldest”, here in the next couple of days.

My mind has lain stagnant for too long.

On a side note, my birthday is in 3 days. I’ll be 22 on the 24th. yay.

    Yeah. man. Where’ve you been?

Nice. I’ve been trying to read more recently, too. It expands the brain.

    HAPPY HAPPY birthday. =) Don’t worry. I hadn’t forgotten.

I just bought Flash 3 for a dollar at a garage sale. I was really looking for something like Photoshop 7 maybe even 8, but I just don’t have the connections.

Man, it’s been so long since I’ve really READ a book. I may be forgetting how to read lol. I started “Armageddon the Musical” but I just couldn’t stay with it. I’m thinking about re-reading the Hitchhiker’s Guide series again. There were five books, ya know.

    See ya around, maybe.
